I'm a little teapot...

I'm a little teapot..., originally uploaded by cronkadelic.

My first successful attempt at putting all the teapot pieces together. It's a little top heavy, but overall, I'll happy with the result. Hopefully it will stay together as it dries.

NYC looks almost black & white today

It's snowing today. This winter has been mild, and I've been wanting snow. I got off the subway a stop early so I could walk by the south end of Central Park. When it snows in NYC, the colors seem to melt away. It's both eery and beautiful at the same time.

Swallowtail Finished

Swallowtail Finished, originally uploaded by cronkadelic.

Latest finished knitting project. The Swallowtail Shawl. This was my first attempt at knitting lace. I should have used a lighter yarn. Working with a dark color makes it very difficult to see the stitches. And definitely don't work on lace after a glass (or two) of wine.

I plan on wearing the shawl as a scarf, so bring on the cool weather!

Pottery - 8/15/09, originally uploaded by cronkadelic.

I started taking a pottery class. It's going well, and I feel like I'm picking it up. Here is one of my pieces. I've decided that I want t make orchid pots. I think this piece is adorable. Not it just have to be fired, glazed and fired again. Hopefully we both make it through the journey.

Chunky Green Scarf

While in the midst of several web projects, I also have several knit projects underway. When I realized a sweater I started months ago would not be done before the end of winter 09, I decided to crank out something fast...and what's quicker than a chunky scarf.

Green Chunky Scarf

The scarf is knit with Lion Brand Chunky in Cilantro and Lemongrass. Using double strands to make it thicker, the pattern is a three-cable braid. The photo could be better...working on it.

Oh, and if you are in NYC, Lion Brand opened up a store on 15th St. They have been coming out with a lot of great new yarns and colors.
